The Pueblo Community College Foundation and the Center for American Values will be hosting a VIP screening of “Taking Chance”, the 2009 historical drama film based upon the experiences of Marine Lt. Colonel Michael Strobl (portrayed by Kevin Bacon), who escorted the body of a fallen Marine, PFC Chance Phelps, back to his hometown from the Iraq War.
The film was selected for showing at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and premiered on HBO on February 21, 2009.
The VIP Screening will take place on June 16 at the PCC Hoag Theater . The screening will be the prelude to Lt. Colonel Michael Strobl’s featured speech at the Center for American Values on June 17.
