Durango Site

PCC Southwest also remains committed to providing higher education in Durango. Through a partnership between PCC and Durango School District 9-R, PCC has relocated its classes to the campus of Durango High School. Classes continue to be available to both the community and concurrent enrollment students from DHS. The Durango Site has a separate entrance and designated parking on the DHS campus.

The Durango Site will offer the following Associate of Arts (AA) transfer degrees with their required course prerequisites and electives:

  •   Sociology
  •   Early Childhood Education
  •   Business (fully online)
  •   General AA transfer degree

Pre-health courses also will be offered. Other degree options are available; speak to an advisor for information.

Full-time college students will be able to get a degree in two years. Students who attend Durango High School and don’t finish their college degree before graduating high school may still complete their associate degree at the Durango Site.

Current DHS students interested in concurrent enrollment classes need to contact their high school counselor.

PCC will also continue to offer its EMS program in the evenings at the Durango Site for traditional college-age students and concurrent enrollment students.

Bayfield Site

Pueblo Community College and the Bayfield School District are partnering to offer college courses to Bayfield High School students and the community.

PCC will operate a site at 658 East South St., the former location of Bayfield Primary School. Classes will be offered face-to-face on site and at Bayfield High School, as well as through virtual classrooms and online instruction.

PCC will offer guarantee-transfer general education classes that lead to pathways in education, psychology and social sciences. Courses will include math, English, psychology, science and humanities.

Career and technical education programs will include courses to support students who are interested in obtaining a degree or certificate in construction trades, culinary arts, emergency medical services, health professions, business and accounting.
