Pueblo Community College recently received a $59,354 federal grant to fund safety training for hospitals, nursing homes and residential care centers in an eight-county region. The toal of the Safety Seven for Healthcare Program is to reduce injuries in health care settings. The program is sponsored by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
“The best part about this training is that a focus will be placed on maintaining the wellness of health care employees and healthy employees will ultimately provide the best care for their patients,” said Amanda Crumm, director of the college’s Economic and Workforce Development Division.
