Applications Now Open for PCC Foundation Scholarships
-
PUEBLO – The Pueblo Community College Foundation, which has supported learning for thousands of students for 34 years, is now accepting applications for scholarships to be awarded in the 2015-2016 academic year. Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, educational interests, and financial need.
Each scholarship has its own set of guidelines for the application and selection process. The application is available on PCC’s website at www.puebloccfoundation.org.
Sometime in the near future, the Foundation will host information sessions in the Pueblo campus’ Learning Center, where students will be able to receive tips and tricks helpful when applying for scholarships as well as assistance with completing the application. The deadline to submit the application is March 31, 2015, and students can call (719) 549-3314 for more information.
During the upcoming academic year, the foundation plans to award more than $350,000 in scholarships to applicants across PCC’s service area, which includes Pueblo, Fremont and Custer counties as well as in areas served by PCC’s branch campuses in Durango and Cortez/Mancos. Donations to the college fund the scholarships, and a program goal is to fit the desires of the donors with the needs of the students.
Community members wanting to get involved with the program can contact the PCC Foundation (549) 3314. All other website references should be directed to: www.puebloccfoundation.org.
