Kane Family Foundation Scholarships

The Pueblo Community College Foundation is most honored to be associated with the Kane Family Foundation with the ability to offer merit-based scholarship opportunities to Pueblo Community College students.

Below is a listing of those scholarships offered via the Pueblo Community College Foundation:

 

Kane Family Scholar-University Connection CSU-Pueblo

Award is the cost of in-state tuition, mandatory course fees, and required books for scholars attaining an associate degree at Pueblo Community College and transferring to Colorado State University-Pueblo to attain a bachelor degree.

Requirements:

  1. High school grade point average of at least 3.25 or a minimum of 12 hours of 100 level courses at Pueblo Community College with at least a 3.25 grade point average prior to scholarship consideration if the candidate is a non-traditional student and most relevant measure of potential for educational success.
  2. Carry 12 credit hours per semester
  3. Demonstrate high motivation and potential for academic success.
  4. Students must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, enrolled full time and must make satisfactory academic progress for each subsequent semester.
  5. Must obtain an associate degree from PCC and a bachelor degree from CSU-Pueblo within a period of four (4) consecutive years from beginning first semester at PCC as a Kane Family Scholar.
  6. Should scholarship be cancelled for any reason, any purchased books must be returned to the PCC Foundation.
  7. Must attend PCC Foundation Scholar & Donor Recognition Event in October.
  8. Must attend appropriate CSU Pueblo and Kane Family Foundation sponsored events.

Kane Family Foundation Scholarship – PCC

Award is cost of in-state tuition, mandatory course fees, and required books for scholars attaining an associate degree at Pueblo Community College – Pueblo Campus

Requirements:

  1. High school grade point average of at least 3.25 or a minimum of 12 hours of 100 level courses at Pueblo Community College with at least a 3.25 grade point average prior to scholarship consideration if the candidate is a non-traditional student and most relevant measure of potential for educational success.
  2. Carry 12 cr hr per semester
  3. Maintain 3.0 cumulative grade point average
  4. Seek an associate degree within a period of 2 consecutive years from beginning first semester at PCC
  5. Prefer incoming High School graduates demonstrating high potential for success
  6. Must attend PCC Foundation Scholarship Luncheon in October

SCHOLARS SELECTION TIMELINE

  1. Pueblo Community College Foundation Scholarship Application opens December 1; deadline to submit application March 1.
  2. Apply using PCC Foundation online scholarship application – Click Here.
  3. Kane Family Scholarship candidates are extracted from application pool after submission deadline.
  4. Candidates are screened via telephone to:
  5. Ascertain interest in Kane Family Scholar – University Connections Scholarship
  6. Ascertain commitment to destination university
  7. Schedule candidate interview
  8. Candidate interviews are completed by May 1 to rate candidates on:
  9. Motivation and potential for academic success
  10. Interviewees are notified within three business days of selection panel’s decision.
  11. Awardees are given five business days to accept the scholarship award. If declined, alternates are notified and given five business days to accept the scholarship award.
