CALLING ALL FRIENDS OF THE PCC FOUNDATION:

DONATIONS NEEDED FOR PCC PANTHER STUDENT PANTRY THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE!

Dr. Patty Erjavec, President of Pueblo Community College, has issued a challenge to all PCC employees and the PCC Foundation is asking all “Friends of the Foundation” to help us in gathering food items to fill food baskets for PCC students in need this Thanksgiving holiday season.  As such, we are asking those reading this post to drop off non-perishable food items to our office by November 9th at 5:00 p.m.

Items needed to fill these Thanksgiving baskets include:

  • Boxed Stuffing
  • Boxed Mashed Potatoes
  • Packages of Gravy Mix
  • Cans of Green Beans (or another combination of vegetables)
  • Boxes of Jell-O
  • Cans of Cranberries
  • $10 Gift Grocery Store Certificates for students to purchase a Turkey

We will be delivering all donated items to the Panther statue on November 10th from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Dr. Erjavec will be celebrate the winning department at 11:00 a.m. and turn the food over to Student Life and PTK.

We are hopeful that you might consider gathering some extra food items on your next trip to the grocery store and dropping them by the PCC Foundation office (1018 W. Orman Avenue) by 5 p.m. on November 9 to help us in our efforts to help those students that need the most help this coming Thanksgiving.

And…if you are in Canon City, Durango or the Mancos/Cortez area, you can drop your food items by the PCC offices in those locations and they will gladly add these items to their specific PCC Panther Student Pantries.

Join in on the challenge and help to feed those students in need this Thanksgiving!
